 A presentation examining the origins, actions, and interactions of early communities of faith in Western Cumberland County in aiding and anchoring the settlement and safe passage of freedom seekers in their midst. Lisa Stewart Garrison, a storyteller and cultural historian, is organizing several Underground Railroad tours in and around Greenwich in 2016, developed through a partnership with Historic Bethel Othello AME Church in Springtown, Greenwich Friends Meeting and the Mayor’s Office of the City of Bridgeton.
