A Note from Pastor Beth Thomas                                                  May  2016

In my opinion there is nothing more joyous than the sound of babies gurgling and toddlers talking during a worship service.  Crying is a good sound, too, and never annoying! That’s why two recent services at GPC have been so charming.  We celebrated two baptisms in two weeks!  Amazing! God is so good!

On Sunday April 24 we baptized Paige Everly Lyons, daughter of Thomas and Shelly Ridgway Lyons, who was born on July 22, 2015.  Big sister Payton Christine Lyons, age 3, was there to help out along with grandparents and a multitude of family and friends.

On Sunday May 1 we baptized Dakota Charlotte Coward, daughter of Sine Maili Buck and David Coward, who was born Dec. 30, 2015.  All of Dakota’s big sisters Cameron Agnesino,13; Catriona Glenning, 7 and Dahlia Glenning, 3 were there to help as was big brother, Josiah Glenning, who is almost two!  Dakota has lots of loving family and grandparents on both sides and also has strong connections to the GPC as the granddaughter of our organist Peggy Buck and the great-niece of Elder Barbara Wheaton and Deacon Bob Wheaton.
